About Eugene Dewveall
Eugene Dewveall was born in Levelland, Texas on November 8, 1939. He attended the Weatherford High School from 1954-1957 and was born again in Christ on January 11, 1951. Eugene went on to study at McLennan Community College, Arlington State College, and the University of Houston majoring in Bible and Communication. Eugene married Jackie Allison in Weatherford in 1958. To this sacred union were born five children. Eugene and Jackie's two sons and three daughters are Christians and have blessed them with nine grand children and two great grandchildren. Eugene has over 50 years in full time pulpit ministry with ten churches in Texas. From August 1961-May 1962 he taught at the Westside Church of Christ in Weatherford. He taught at the Rio Vista Church of Christ from June 1962 - April 1964 and then moved to the Valley Mills Church of Christ from May 1964 - September 1966. It was then that Eugene moved to Waco and taught at the LaVega Church of Christ from October 1966 - October 1970. In November 1970, Eugene began a new journey at the Jersey Village Church of Christ until October 1976. From November 1976 - October 1979 he taught at the Liberty Church of Christ and then found his way to the Sweeny Church of Christ in January 1980 until October 1984. The Cavitt Church of Christ in Bryan was blessed to have Eugene as their minister from November 1984 - January 1995 when the Hempstead Church of Christ was blessed to have him come to our congregation. He stayed here from Febuary 1995 - July 2007. In August 2007 he found a calling to minister to the Meridian Church of Christ and stayed there until September 2010. Eugene has now returned to the Hempstead Church of Christ to bless our congregation with his wonderful and inspirational teaching.
Eugene's special areas of Ministry include personal evangelism training, Church growth seminars, a Christian 12 step program, Church Leadership training, the Christian home seminar, and Campaigns for Christ.
