The Church is pleased to introduce our preaching minister Kristopher Moore, and his family. Kristopher works with us in our mission to share and experience together the fullness of Christ in our community. Kristopher Moore brings a passion for spiritual discipling and preaching into focus with the command to make the act of Love the primary responsibility of every Christian disciple. He is dedicated to the fact that every fruit of his ministry is born from his personal relationship with the Divine and exemplifies the command to love. He is on fire over the concept and his belief that for a church to grow, its members must first grow spiritually. Give people a place and reason to belong to something greater than themselves and they will join in the struggle to keep faith, spread love, and be better people.
Kristopher comes to the ministry after a successful career as a lawyer. A graduate of Texas Tech School of Law, he spent a good part of his career working as a civil rights attorney. Kris argued and won multiple cases before the Texas Supreme Court, lobbied the Texas Legislature, the U.S. Congress, and the IRS, and earned experience in the state and federal courthouses of Texas.
Born in Las Vegas, and raised in Lawton, Oklahoma, Kris earned a B.A. in Political Science, magna cum laude, from Midwestern State University in 2004. In 2007, he graduated magna cum laude from Texas Tech School of Law. While a law student, Kris was a member of the Law Review and an officer in the Federalist Society. He also worked for the Washington Legal Foundation in Washington D.C. and for Federal District Judge Sam Cummings.
Kris has been married to Bethany Moore for two decades and has two daughters, Katie and Anabelle. He is the past president of McKinney Morning Pride Lions’ Club and has served on the board of directors for the nonprofit Hugs Café, the Lubbock South Plains Lions Club and Boys & Girls Club of Lubbock. He has also served as little league coach and as a coach for a high school mock trial team in McKinney, Texas. It is his sincerest hope that Kristopher will find many ways to jump in and help the ongoing efforts to build our community and serve others.
